ProfessorI am researching microorganisms that "breathe" unusual substances such as iodine, arsenic, and antimony. I am interested in unraveling the key enzymes of these microorganisms and exploring their bio-remediation functions. Additionally, I am intrigued by understanding the dominance mechanisms of microorganisms in fermented foods and exploring the associated control mechanisms.
Recent Topics of Interest:
I am interested in applied research focused on anaerobic fermentative bacteria, exploring their capacities for producing organic acids and facilitating metal reduction, to utilize their functions for practical applications.
