Associate ProfessorI am studying partial differential equations that illustrate aggregation processes in biological systems. The main equation of my research is the Keller-Segel system, which describes the aggregation mechanism of cellular slime molds. These molds have both unicellular and multicellular life stages. Specifically, when food becomes scarce, these cells release chemical substances and move toward higher chemical concentrations through chemotaxis, forming multicellular groups. I focus on the mathematical analysis of the conditions under which these aggregates form.

I am currently interested in the fundamental analysis of partial differential equations that describe how cancer cells invade normal cells.
