LecturerAdverse drug effects are often thought of as rare events, but they always have an underlying mechanism. I aim to understand these mechanisms at the molecular level to help improve medical safty. I am also conducting research on cancer metabolism to contribute to the development of new therapeutic drugs.

ProfessorNature produces organic compounds, known as natural products, with fascinating structures and bioactivities. I search for and synthesize these valuable natural products, which serves as the foundation for pharmaceuticals. My research goal is to develop and release pharmaceuticals derived from these natural products at Chiba University.
