ProfessorI aim to advance medical care by elucidating, from a neural circuit perspective, how the ‘anxiety' that we all experience influences the mind and how eating disorders affect brain function. I also investigate the brain characteristics of individuals prone to anxiety or eating disorders and examine how treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy can alleviate brain dysfunction.

I then explore strategies for improving their daily lives, including considerations for their upbringing and daily routines, to facilitate a more comfortable and fulfilling life without unnecessary difficulties.
