The study aims to clarify the physiological functions of secondary metabolites produced by plants and microorganisms. This investigation seeks to understand how these compounds contribute to the life cycle of the producing organisms, shedding light on their roles and functions. Ultimately, the goal is to uncover novel ways of utilizing the untapped potential of such compounds.
